poem
I go out for the night I leave a light on for myself
I hate situations but I keep ending up in them
I wait in the rain by the station until
I remember that I am waiting for nobody
I feel let down by the city all the time
I feel I was promised more
I suppose that's how it gets you
I’m going to sleep a while do not wake me
I wrote a poem in my head and then forgot it
I think it was about the same stuff as this one
I couldn’t tell you what if you asked me
A. Zachary is the author of The End, by Anna, out now with Metatron.
